A FULL travel ban stopping “killers, leeches and entitlement junkies” from entering the US has reportedly been backed by Donald Trump.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced her strict plan to stop “foreign invaders” from entering the US in response to the horror attack on two National Guard troops in Washington.

Noem met with President Trump in the White House as she revealed the pair mulled over a plan to stop dangerous migrants from entering the country.

A travel ban on several countries is now set to be formally recommended to the president’s office.

In a statement, Noem announced: “I am recommending a full travel ban on every damn country that’s been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies.

“Our forefathers built this nation on blood, sweat, and the unyielding love of freedom.

WAR COUNTDOWN

Trump calls White House meeting on Venezuela after issuing ultimatum

“Not for foreign invaders to slaughter our heroes, suck dry our hard-earned tax dollars, or snatch the benefits owed to AMERICANS.”

The passionate announcement ended with Noem stating: “WE DON’T WANT THEM. NOT ONE.”

Trump then shared the post himself on Truth Social.

It remains unclear which nations will be among those slapped with the restrictions.

The strong rhetoric around immigration to the US has intensified in the past week ever since Afghan-born Rahmanullah Lakanwa, 29, was named as the suspected killer of a national guardswoman in DC.

Twenty-year-old Sarah Beckstrom passed away after being shot with her colleague Andrew Wolfe, 24, still receiving urgent medical care.

A furious Trump announced the killing of one of his brave troops will not go unpunished.

He said: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the US system to fully recover.”

Immigrants hailing from 19 countries which Trump views as third world will have their cases re-examined, the president added.

These nations include Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia, Haiti, Sudan, Yemen, Libya and Venezuela.

Trump also threatened to reverse “millions” of admissions granted under his predecessor Joe Biden and would “remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States”.

Lakanwa himself allegedly came to the US in August 2021 under Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome, sources told the New York Post

Noem and Trump have worked closely since the Republican returned to office in January.

This includes the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) who have been patrolling across the US and detaining immigrants before sending them back to their home countries.

These deportation flights have been met with severe scrutiny from Trump’s political foes and human rights groups.

Washington DC shooting

In what was described as a “brazen and targeted” attack, a gunman opened fire on National Guard troops with a .357 Smith and Wesson revolver just a few blocks from the White House last week.

A group of guardsmen were performing “high visibility patrols” when the suspected shooter opened fire.

The suspect – an Afghan national who arrived in 2021 – was shot four times and sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

He is now facing charges of first-degree murder.

Federal authorities are treating the attack as a potential act of terrorism.

Two guards were hit by the streams of bullets.

Beckstrom was rushed to hospital but died from her injuries as Trump described her as an “incredible person” and “outstanding in every way”.

Wolfe remains in hospital in a critical condition.

As the FBI continue to investigate the attack several new details have emerged.

Lakanwal had been living in the western state of Washington and had driven across the country to the nation’s capital ahead of the killing.

Federal investigators have since executed two search warrants at Lakanwal’s home in Washington state and another in San Diego.

FBI Director Kash Patel told reporters that officials seized several electronic devices from Lakanwal’s property in Washington, including laptops and computers.

In the wake of Wednesday’s shooting, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced 500 more troops would deploy to Washington, bringing the total to 2,500.

Trump deployed troops to several cities, all run by Democrats, including Washington, Los Angeles and Memphis.
